Insurance scam

The Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) is warning consumers of a recent scam that’s spreading throughout the province via newspaper ads.  The scam is using the company name Security Insurance Inc. and directs victims to wire money through Western Union, but they are never sent the promised policy.   RIBO says anyone who has been caught by this scam should contact them at 416-365-1900 or 1-800-265-3097 or Barbara@ribo.com. And the Grand Prize Winner is....

Winston McGregor is the 2010 Just Keep Talking Grand Prize Winner of the new Dell Laptop Computer.

Ill-fated headstand

Ill-fated headstand on a limo stripper pole is considered a car "accident".  A man who fractured his neck while attempting to do a headstand on a "stripper pole" in a luxury limousine coach was injured as a result of a car "accident," an Ontario arbitrator has ruled, and is therefore entitled to injury benefit payments from his car insurance policy.  Who would have thought that an injury like this would be eligible for about $1.4 million in insurance benefits when the car wasn’t involved in a collision?  Consider your injury benefits carefully as they may be needed for very unpredictable and unexpected events.  Read the complete article here
